About Timothy Greenleaf
Tim has produced and designed Internet media since 1993. He currently manages the internet operations for National Geographic Expeditions. After the dotcom crash, he landed at Environmental Working Group, where he spent over five years developing information activism strategies and introduced elements of Web 2.0 to their interactive projects. At the beginning of his career, he served as Map Editor and co-online producer at Travel Holiday magazine in New York before moving to Washington, D.C. to join the launch team at National Geographic Online. Several years later, he jumped headfirst into the dotcom boom, first with the Morino Institute Netpreneur Program, and later with Iconixx, Away.com and Manaca Ecotravel.
Greenleaf holds two Bachelor's degrees from Ohio University (Visual Communications and Geography) and a Master's in Journalism from Columbia University. He is a skilled writer, editor, designer, photographer, and cartographer. In addition to National Geographic and Travel Holiday, his work has appeared in Chesapeake Life magazine and The Village Voice.
